But I am not a writer.

I write well, I suppose. I enjoy writing.

But no, I’m not a writer.

Pages and pages of words and sentences and ideas that stream out, sometimes freely and sometimes by force

But no, I’m not a writer.

I’m not an artist, either.

I dream and I create; I make something out of nothing

But no, I’m not an artist.

I find joy in the creative process and I see beauty where there is none and I search for the big picture where all the details come together in harmony

But no, I’m not an artist.

And I’m certainly not a poet.

I make rhymes and verses. I make words flow

But I’m not a poet.

I feel the words and move them around and make them fit in ways I didn’t think they could

But no,

I’m definitely not a poet.
